The Farmer’s Almanac has released its 2026-2027 winter forecast, and New York could be facing a complicated season with heavy snow, ice, rain, and rapidly changing conditions.
Just days after record highs in the 70s, Mother Nature is reminding Central New York that winter isn’t over. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect, with 4–8 inches of snow expected and travel potentially tricky for Friday’s commute.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Oswego, Lewis, and northern Oneida counties until Thursday at 7 AM, with 3–9 inches of snow expected. Travel may be hazardous.
