The former Charlestown Mall in Utica went up in flames on Thursday morning, August 27th, at about 1:00 a.m. according to the Utica Fire Department. Several fire companies participated in attempting to put out the fire that engulfed the entire property.
Crews were called to a raging fire at the Charlestown Mall complex, 311 Turner Street in Utica at 1:30 this morning. Smoke and ash are covering the lower side of East Utica. The abandoned building is a total loss.
