If you are traveling by plane this Thanksgiving, but don't want to leave those delicious leftovers behind, there's good news.  Here's what you can bring.

If you've ever traveled to your grandma's house halfway across the country and had to leave all her delicious leftovers there when you left, you understand why this list is so important.

The TSA has announced that there are some foods that you'll be able to bring in your carry on bag.  It's pretty open too.  I mean, you could bring an entire turkey if it fits.

The basic rule is that it has to be solid foods.  Anything liquidy has to go in your checked luggage.

So a turkey is fine.  Pie, cakes, stuffing mix, casseroles, are all good in a carry-on bag because they are solid food items.

Foods like Gravy, cranberry sauce, wine, jam, preserves, should all go into a checked bag. Why? They are not solids. "Basically if you can spill it, spray it, spread it, pump it or pour it, (say that three times fast) then it’s not a solid and should be packed in a checked bag."
