The Mohawk Valley's largest fundraiser of the year is underway open MV Giving day as sponsored by the Community Foundation and UpMobility and as of noon on Friday, more than $3 million had been raised for local charities.

The 20th year of the New York Sash Teddy Bear Toss, the largest in college hockey, is now in the books. The Utica University Pioneers scored early in the first period and fans were then allowed to throw new, unwrapped stuffed animals onto the ice to benefit local families in need this holiday season.

The goal is simple and the reason is honest and accurate. Continuously remind men to get tested for cancer because guys tend to procrastinate and that could be a fatal problem. Early detection of cancer could save your life because it gives treatments the chance to work before the cancer spreads further.

Members of the New Hartford Fire Department are holding a benefit on Sunday for one of their own. Firefighter Mark Schafer, who has over three decades of service with the department, was diagnosed in 2022 with stage four colon cancer.
