Police in Utica are asking for the public's assistance in locating a Utica man who failed to report a change of residence, despite being listed on the NYS Sex Offender Registry, police say.

41-year-old Christopher Bailey is wanted by the Utica Police Department for an offense of the Sex Offender Registry Act – Failure to Notify the Division of Criminal Justice Services of Change of Address (NYS Corrections Law 168t & 168f, a class E felony).  When having been convicted of a designated offense, and when designated as a Level 3 Sex Offender, offenders must personally verify their address with local law enforcement every ninety (90) days. Police say he failed to do so.

Bailey was convicted in 2017 of Criminal Sexual Act in the third degree (PL 130.40 sub 2, a class E felony) in regards to an investigation conducted by the Rome Police Department. Police say, Bailey had sexual contact with a 16-year-old in September of 2016.
