Acai Café Now Open In New Hartford

The Soul Bowl is growing fast! Their first location opened in Clinton, then Hamilton, and now they're open in New Hartford!

Soul Bowl was created to make a safe and healthy experience for anyone looking to fuel their bodies. Their menu focuses on vegan, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free, BUT you would never know it! They use fresh and delicious superfoods that disguise the fact that you're eating super healthy!

Soul Bowl was launched in 2018 by Jenna Stanton and her Mom. They wanted to create something healthy and inclusive for everyone to enjoy. Jenna has a dairy allergy and struggled to find enjoyable foods when eating out. She was afraid to trust what was being prepared for her behind the kitchen walls of a restaurant.

Jenna starting testing the waters at local farmers' markets in Clinton, Cazenovia, and Hamilton. Her success proved that CNY needed more healthy food options for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Jenna told us:

Even though soups and salads are great, everybody needs some variety! Acai is a superberry that grows in Brazil in the Amazon rainforest. It actually ferments within 24 hours of being harvested, and the only way the US can receive acai is for it to be flash-frozen in Brazil before shipping! We take the acai berry and blend it to create a thick smoothie base. It is thick enough to be eaten with a spoon. We then top it with granola, all fresh fruits, nuts and seeds, honey or agave, nut butters--the combinations are endless! Aside from the acai (pronounce ah-sigh-EE) base, we have a pitaya base (dragonfruit!), banana base, green base (tasting like pineapple but with kale blended in as well), and a creamy white coconut base.

Soul Bowl emphasizes "adding good things to your diet rather than taking away from it.” Jenna and her mom work day and night to bring the freshest and highest quality acai to CNY, and have even created their own signature Acai, Pitaya, and Coconut blends that can only be found at Soul Bowl!
