The most haunted hotel in New York is ready for your reservation - except we can't guarantee there will be only living guests in your room, and it's just 2 hours from Utica.
In this episode Phil guides the explorers to the downtown Utica at Rutger Park to explore Utica's grandest mansion of the 1800's, a place where Senators, Civil War Generals and even the President of the United States came to visit and helped shape the nation. A place that still experiences the haunting echoes of that past today.
Utica's first train station was constructed in 1836 to serve as a way station for travelers bound for the west. In 1853 the train lines converged and it was apparent that Utica needed a more substantial station for the traffic.
