As warmer weather arrives in Upstate and Central New York this May, we will watch out for the most wanted criminals.

These lists serve as a reminder of the importance of community safety and the role that each one of us can play in keeping our neighborhoods secure.

it's not entirely clear-cut that May is specifically a high crime month for New York State. Historically, crime rates tend to increase during the warmer months, generally peaking in summer. This trend is observed not only in New York but also in many other places.

Below are individuals wanted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision's (DOCCS) Office of Special Investigations who have been designated as its Most Wanted Fugitives. They should be considered armed and dangerous. This list is current as of 5/01/2024:
