2 New York Homes Named Most Haunted In America
2 homes in New York State were just named as the most haunted homes in America. One is located in New York City, while the other is in Upstate New York.
SheBudgets just published a list titled "25 Most Terrifying Places in America." On the list, you'll find classic homes like the Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast in Massachusetts where thrill-seekers are invited to stay at the site of the gruesome 1892 double murder. Or, you could take the trip to The Stanley Hotel in Colorado, Stephen King's inspiration for "The Shining". Sites like the St. Louis Cemetery in New Orleans were also highlighted because of it's famous above-ground tombs and voodoo spirits.

1) House of Death Located In New York City
The House Of Death is a home in Greenwich Village. It is alleged to be the site of 22 deaths and is haunted by numerous spirits. One famous spirit including Mark Twain, who briefly lived there and is said to appear dressed in a white suit.
Built in 1856, on West 10th street in Greenwich Village what is now known as ‘the House of Death’ has at one time or another housed many of the cities bright and beautiful. Including the wife of the founder of the Metropolitan Underground Railroad and the Broadway Underground Railroad, Mr. James Boorman Johnston."
2) The Amityville Horror House Located In Amityville
This home is the site of the infamous DeFeo murders and all sorts of haunting tales that inspired books and films:
