Photos Of The New Mural Coming To Downtown Utica
Wall Dogs artists Keren Vita and Clay Lemieux have been hard at work painting a mural in downtown Utica at the Adirondack Bank Building headquarters. Take a look at some of these amazing photos.
Keren and her team have been hard at work in the city of Utica. The mural is on the wall of the Adirondack Bank building in the back, near the parking lot. Here's some photos we captured of the work in progress:
The mural was commissioned by Joanie Grande of Adirondack Bank. Keren tells us that the project may take two weeks to finish, or longer.
It is such a beautiful feeling, making your mark on different surfaces, brick however is a medium unlike any other. It definitely requires special care, so it's a learning experience in itself."
Joanie and Keren had some really nice ideas for the mural, including honoring The Peregrine Falcon with it's sixth season of raising chicks in their nesting platform on top of the bank.
It is a dream for me, being included in a project like this. I am quickly learning one must conquer their fears in order to make your dreams a reality. Not only am I afraid of heights, I work on such a small scale usually, this could look like quite a daunting task. It is turning into a spiritual experience for me, one that I hope will inspire other artists like myself to ask themselves, what scares them and is it holding you back from making you fulfill your destiny. I have so many creative humans in my life, that when you do something of this magnitude, people reach out. Steve Hale of Steve's Restorations and Hotrods has provided me with all the equipment and assistance needed, one lf my best friends Aaron Ure of Image House Productions is documenting the whole process from start to finish in a timelapse put together as he only knows how. I am really honored to be doing this. I have heart overflowing with gratitude and a determined mind, I trust will get this done in a timely manner."
The project is beautiful, and will continue to make downtown glow.
