XFL

The year was 2000. I don't remember what even compelled me to audition. I saw an ad on Backstage.com and turned up at the audition address. There were about 3000 + other women in the line outside of the audition venue in NYC. And this is just the beginning of a tale of XFL past. And one of the original XFL Cheerleaders of the NY/NJ Hitmen.

The XFL has not only ceased to function as a league but now has filed for bankruptcy. The XFL is the first sports league to fold due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Many of the major sports leagues will no doubt feel the effects of postponing, suspending, amending or even cancelling games and or seasons due to the world wide Pandemic but the loss of half a season and the effects on the WWE could of closed the XFL's doors for good.

Off a shortened XFL season, the New York Giants are dipping into the alternate league's player pool for talent.

The XFL is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to new pro football leagues.

The XFL will kick off the week after the NFL Super Bowl on Saturday, February 8th and we're now learning some of the rules that will differentiate the XFL from the NFL. You can see a quick tutorial at XFL.com.
