The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is hoping to alert residents of a new scam before it's too late.

The Prize Patrol from Publishers Clearing House was in Upstate New York to award one Syracuse resident a $1,000,000.

We received a tip from Dawn, who's from Utica, and who lives in Georgia, and she described a scam her friend experienced.
