In a quiet move, New York Governor Kathy Hochul initiated an executive order on Thursday, July 14 to extend New York's disaster emergency as it relates to COVID.
Executive Order allows local governments to lift an in-person renewal requirement for property tax exemptions for seniors and people with disabilities.
According to the New York State Liquor Authority, the food requirement with drink purchases will "continue until May 6, 2021, but may be extended or reduced depending on circumstances."
An executive order talked about this week by Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, punishing businesses who allow un-masked patrons to enter their establishments, will take effect on Friday.
