Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Voted One of the Best in U.S.

Often we don't appreciate just how special something is when it's been part of our entire life. For me, it was the St. Louis Arch. And while many New Yorkers have enjoyed the annual Winter Carnival in Saranac Lake, we might not realize it ranks as one of the best in the country.

Country Living Magazine compiled a list of the 15 best outdoor winter festivals across the U.S. Based on the ice palace, parades, and firework displays, the Saranac Festival even cracked the Top 10, coming in at #9.

Saranac Lakes' Winter Carnival is the oldest in the U.S. and the 2020 version won't be slowing down, promising "To Be The Most Fun You'll Have All WInter."  The 10-day celebration kicks off January 31 and runs through February, 9.
