Bottle & Can Drive

We are having a bottle and can drive on July 29, 2017 to help offset some cost for a benefit that we are hosting on September 23, 2017.  The benefit is being held for two amazing outstanding kids who have health issues. The bottle drive will be at 6870 South James street in Rome.  You can drop off your cans and bottles from 8 am to 12 pm.

Both children are full of energy and just love life.  They have an infectious smile and laugh.  They can brighten your day with one of their smiles.  These two are amazing and deserve the best that life has to offer them.

They must travel out to Syracuse to go to the doctors.  They will have to go out to Syracuse a lot more in the future.  Alissa is 17 with end stage 5 kidney failure.  She was just put on the transplant list to get a new kidney which would give her more years to live her amazing life. We found out a couple months ago that her younger brother’s kidneys have gotten worse as well and he was just diagnosed with stage 2-3 kidney failure.  He will also need a kidney transplant eventually.  As their bodies have grown the kidneys in both kids have not grown to the size that they should be.  Both kids also have a rare gene mutation that they share with one other family in Switzerland.  They are nonverbal and are autistic.  They have had surgeries in the past.  They have issues with their eyes, heart, and kidneys.

The benefit will be at the Stittville fireman’s field.  It will be held on September 23, 2017 from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Thank you for helping us!!!
